On this third CCA activity, students are given the opportunity to use their own creativity to build a floating boat that can move on water with ONLY the materials that are given to them. The students came up with so many ideas and designs of the boat.
I'm guessing this boy is explaining how the boat would immediately sink the moment they put it on water. He he.. but hey, it's the creativity and design that matter most here.
Commitment and team work is the main key for this project. Students need to learn to work together in a group and delegate tasks.
These are the materials that are given by me for them to brainstorm and designing a floating boat that actually move on water. The materials are: styrofoam, 10 wooden sticks, 10 rubber bands, a pair of scissors, 10 paper clips, 10 small straws, 10 big straws, a cellotape and a plastic bag. The students were not allowed to add any materials beside the ones that have been given to them. Good Luck to all of you!
